Session Three - 11/11/18
Next day the Vislae spend a little time at their day jobs (bills gots to get paid..) and meet again at Penn and Teller's in the evening to again encounter Harlequin.
The usually Autumnal fartown weather has take a turn for the worse and the bar is busier than normal but the group arrive, soggy and rained on, and find that as usual their table is reserved for them.
they get their usual round of drinks and sit and go over what they plan to do.
a short while later the door opens and instead of the rather pathetic bell a musical sting plays out announcing the arrival of the Harlequin - who flounces in grandiose and within 5 seconds of surveying the place declares it one of the diviest dives hes ever played - and loves it.
he gets them a Picture of Beer (like a pitcher - but flat. you dont spill it on the way to the table, that way) and sits and starts making small talk but the line between the Harlequin and Derek the Bricklayer is blurred more than a little.
again another short while later and the door opens, a figure in a motorcycle helmet goes to the bar, and the same musical sting plays - Harlequin stands and waves Caliburn over to the table.
the figure comes over, black helmet, black leather jacket... and a familiar (if muffled voice) says..
"Oh shit. not you guys.." the helmet comes off and its revealed that Caliburn is Eloise, the girl they encountered the previous night.
After a tense moment or three she starts apologising profusely for the misunderstanding (again) and joins them for a drink.
She then offers them a choice - she can get them all to the Silver Sun, tonight, but there's no guarantee that she'll be able to get them back and they'd have to arrange their own passage back when they are there. Or, with about a week's prep, she can sort out a round trip.
The Vislae agree to the former option. They leave, leaving Harlequin at the pub conversing with the barman.
Somehow the five of them manage to all fit on Caliburn's bike (an apparently normal ZZR1100R) and after a wild ride through Fartown's rain-slicked streets they wind up at the outskirts of the district.
Then the fun begins as Caliburn speeds them on and along a tunnel, colour shifting as it flows along the Path of Suns and deposits them under the Silver Sun
a few minutes later they are all presented with a unique vision as the Warden of the Silver Sun challenges them to create something unique, and all the tasks relate to their time in Shadow.
when they all come to, Caliburn is nowhere to be seen, and they set off across the foothills towards the Enclave of Makers.
It's only a short walk to the massive walled enclave where they are met by an angel - calling itself Erikah - who agrees to show them to their contact, Denys Qui Priaulx. who turns out to be a somewhat overeager, short-but-massively-pompadoured man in a paint covered smock. He eagerly takes the package of Blue that Harlequin sent, sends the man a Cheque for the amount, and turns back thanking the Vislae.
Then he sees Astraios' legs. and comments that hes seen that type of work before - there are a total of three sets of legs like it! they were made by someone called Abron the Maker, who usually resides in Satyrine.
the group leave promising to bring along any more colours that Harlequin can procure, and as they are discussing with Erikah that its probably best that they rest the night before heading off to the Grove of Obelisks, they are knocked ot their feet by a muffled explosion and everything in a five block radius of Denys' workshop is covered in Blue
---- End of session ----
Awarded joy or despair based on who enjoyed their first trip to another sun - awarded 1 acumen each - and Astraios has completed the first step in his character arc, Learning the Name of the one who made his legs so 2 extra Acumen.
